AI Content Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

At TrustMyPets, we believe transparency builds trust. This page explains how we use artificial intelligence to create our content, the role of human oversight in our process, and what our content is — and is not — intended to be.

How We Create Content

TrustMyPets uses state-of-the-art AI language models to produce our articles, guides, and educational resources. Our content pipeline is powered by some of the most advanced large language models available today.

Each article is generated from a carefully designed prompt system that ensures the content reflects a specific specialist perspective — whether that of a board-certified veterinary nutritionist, a certified dog trainer, an emergency veterinarian, or another qualified role. This process draws on vast training data encompassing veterinary science, animal behaviour research, professional training standards, and clinical guidelines.

Our Expert Personas

The expert profiles listed on our Experts page are AI-generated fictional personas, not real individuals. Each persona is modelled on the qualifications, experience, and professional standards of real-world specialists in that field — from CPDT-KA certified dog trainers to DACVECC emergency veterinarians.

These personas serve a clear purpose: they ensure that every article is written from a knowledgeable, consistent, and appropriately specialised point of view. They also help you, the reader, understand what type of expertise informed the content you're reading. No persona corresponds to any real person, living or deceased, and no content should be interpreted as advice from an actual licensed professional.

Human Editorial Oversight

While AI generates the initial content, no article is published without human editorial review. Our editorial process includes:

  • Accuracy review — checking clinical claims, dosage information, and medical terminology against current veterinary guidelines
  • Relevance check — ensuring the content addresses real pet owner concerns and provides actionable guidance
  • Tone and clarity — confirming the article is accessible, compassionate, and free of misleading language
  • Geo-localisation review — for regional editions, verifying that local regulations, climate information, and emergency resources are accurate

What Our Content Is

Our articles are designed to be:

  • Informational — providing pet owners with general knowledge about pet health, training, nutrition, grooming, and care
  • Educational — helping you understand common conditions, preventive measures, and when professional help is needed
  • Entertaining — making pet care topics engaging and enjoyable to read

What Our Content Is Not

TrustMyPets content does not constitute veterinary medical advice. Our articles are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's specific health needs.

No matter how detailed or well-researched an article may be, it cannot replace a veterinarian who has physically examined your pet, reviewed their medical history, and made a clinical assessment. If your pet is unwell, injured, or exhibiting concerning behaviour, please contact your veterinarian or local emergency animal hospital immediately.

Why We Use AI

We chose to use AI for content creation because it allows us to:

  • Produce high-quality, evidence-based content at scale across multiple languages
  • Serve pet owners in over 50 countries with locally relevant information
  • Maintain consistent specialist perspectives across hundreds of articles
  • Continuously update and improve our content library

We are committed to using AI responsibly. We regularly review our content pipeline, update our AI models as better ones become available, and invest in human editorial oversight to ensure the highest possible quality and accuracy.

Our Commitment to You

We will always:

  • Be transparent about how our content is created
  • Clearly state that our content is for informational purposes only
  • Encourage you to seek professional veterinary advice for your pet's health
  • Continuously improve our content quality and accuracy
  • Update this disclosure as our processes evolve
